Dunedin Srayground (Splash Park)

This past weekend we went to the Dunedin Kiwanis Sprayground which turned out to be a terrific water splash park. Really, it was amazing! We packed a cooler with snacks and lunch, and we got there at around 9:30 a.m. I was pleasantly surprised because it was much bigger then I thought it was going to be, and it was very clean. Since I’m always looking for good Florida parks and recreation centers, this was a great suggestion from a friend in my Mom’s Group.

There were benches around the outskirts, so we found a place to sit in the shade, lathered the kids with sunscreen, and off they went!

We stayed for about 3 hours! I usually can keep The Older at places like this for an hour at most, but he had a great time shooting the water cannons, and they both loved the slide.

Getting The Younger to leave was pretty difficult even though she was exhausted. Luckily there was a thunder storm, and she knows that if she hears thunder she is to leave any water she’s in. So, her screaming only lasted about 5 minutes ;-)

This splash park is located at in Highlander Park at 1937 Ed Eckert Drive in Dunedin. Even if it takes a little while to get there, it’s worth the drive!
